Question
my dad was taking the steroid decadron until the doctors cut back to once a day.  He became very tired and unable to get up.  So in your personal opinion, with this kind of tumor and the survival rate being zero do you think I as a daughter not wanting to see my father tired and sleeping all of the time i continued to give him 2mg of the decadron once daily for the time he has left was a bad idea.  My dad is not one to lay around all day.

Answer
Well, I normally do not answer detailed questions with regards to medication here since that is the responsibility of the dr. in charge of treatment. However under the circumstances I have to admit that it probably does not matter here. But I also unfortunately have to inform you that with this disease more and more sleep is to be expected due to tumor progress until the patient sleeps all the time, then drifts into a coma and then passes away.
