Brain Tumors/primary cerebral lymphoma

Question
Hi
My mother is aged 63 and was diagnosed in December 2007 (10 months ago) with cerebral lymphoma. She has had 3 rounds of chemotherapy which they say there doesn't appear to be any growth although they can't be 100% as she had to have a brain biopsy and she has scaring which makes it hard for them to separate the scaring from the lymphoma on the scans. She is not sure if the Dr's want her to have any more treatment she goes back next week for a review. She is not keen on having anymore chemo as she has been told it brings on dementia and there is already a family history of dementia so she is not keen on hurrying that up.  What would you her future looks like?

Answer
Unfortunately it is impossible to say since it based on what you have told me seems impossible to know with any certainty how successful her treatment has been. Without knowing that no evaluation or prediction of any value is impossible unfortunately.
