Question
In 2002 my husband was diagnosed with an astrocytoma brain tumor....they couldnt do surgery due to the fact that it would leave him paralized. He was treated with chemotherapy and radiation. They gave him five years to live. Well, almost seven years later the tumor is growing......trying to cross to the otherside. They don't want to do radiation or chemo again, they say that it will do more harm than good and the neurosurgeon don't want to do surgery. What other options are there for him?

Answer
Unfortunately there are no other options at present. For brain tumors at present only surgery. radiation therapy & chemotherapy are available. Both surgery and radiation therapy are in this case now impossible. Chemotherapy may still technically be possible but can most probably not accomplish much of benefit on its own. So unfortunately I have no options or suggestions to offer! I'm sorry I have nothing better to tell you!
