Question
My bother has metastatic melonoma throughtout his lymph nodes(lungs, liver) He is in severe pain even with every other day pain patches and pills.  He won't tell us what he is feeling.  He was diagnosed just over a month ago as terminal.  How can we tell if things are coming to an end if he won't talk.  I can't find anything much online.  I won't to know details.  I can handle it.  Thanks Phyllis

Answer
I have not much information here to go on. However his melanoma seems to be widely spread. His general condition will most probably deteriorate but without much more clinical information it is impossible to be more specific with regards to how his future developments probably will look like. He probably just wants to be left alone and does not have much energy to communicate with others not even with family members. This is common in this situation when you know that you face a sure death and much earlier than expected!
