Question a friend just had a tumor removed from her brain the size of lemon she is 31 and I want to know how is the plasma therapy which uses the immune system to fight melanoma working for patients with stage 4 melanoma. Thank you
Answer There are experiments in immunotherapy for malignant melanoma going on but they are still experimental and not in ordinary clinical use. For the latest news there you have to contact the National Cancer Institute. Even with working immunotherapy - which we hardly have today - it is doubtful if it would work on a stage 4 melanoma that has spread to the brain unfortunately.
