Question
After a few weeks of headaches my mother-in-law had a head scan in which showed that there was a growth in the front part of her head between eyes.  Since then her headaches has worsened and she is now taking pain medicine to help her cope until her appointment January the 8th,  this appointment is with a specialist.  My question is what exactly is a growth and could it be cancer? Her head hurts all the time.

Answer
A growth there is a tumor. It may be benign (non cancerous) or malignant (cancerous). Which it is we do not yet know. Were her scans both CT and MRI scans? So it can indeed be a cancerous tumor but not necessarily so.
