Question
I am hoping you give me some information regarding a young boy (10 yrs. old) who suffered from a brain tumor centered in the hypothalamus and to save his life, the hypothalamus was removed.

1) How will his puberty be different from other boys?
2) How could the young boy be treated to reliee him of this condition?
3) Would any treatment be a short-term treatment to kick start puberty or would an ongoing treatment be necessary?  Could you please explain the treatment?
4) What does testosterone do to levels of neuroendocrine hormones and why does this happen?

Thank you so much for you help.

Answer
To answer this I need a VERY detailed description of his case, more or less his full case history. It would probably be easier to ask his doctor.

I have some computer problems so unfortunately my reply is delayed.
