Question
My husband was diagnosed with Astrocytoma grade II. what are the stages of this tumor what should I be prepared for? I have the same questions as the person before?

Answer
Brain tumors usually do not have stages. They only have grades. A grade 2 (II) astrocytoma may live for several years after surgery & radiation therapy. In the long run most malignant brain tumors (and a grade 2 tumor is also malignant though less so than a grade 3 to 4) are fatal but exactly how long that will take is impossible to say. When that happens the patient becomes more & more confused, sleeps more & more, drifts into a coma and then passes away. What were those questions? I have answered almost 10000 questions so you must tell me.
