Brain Tumors/Pregnancy and craniopharyngioma

Question
Hi, I have a craniopharyngioma. I'm 24 years old and had surgery to remove a large portion of my tumour in 2006. I would now like to start having children. My endocrenologist said this could cause a reacurrance of growth in my tumour, but their aren't many cases to suggest this either way. What do you think/know???

Answer
This is indeed uncertain territory. So if you want to be on the safe side I think you should abstain from children. If you absolutely want a child you are taking a risk. But of course you can (mostly) avoid the risk by having an in vitro fertilization with eggs from you and sperm from your husband and then have a hired host mother for the pregnancy. However that is an uncertain AND expensive path to follow.
