Brain Tumors/epilepsy...maybe more?

Question
My son is just over 2.  He has had 2 episodes of seizures, resulting in fevers hrs after having them.  We went for an EEG,and the results were that he is not making full connections on the right side of his brain.  These are the results our ped. received from the neurologist reading the test results.  We got to the actualy neurologist next month.
Since we have determined that he is having absent seizures also, and he also is very clumsy.  I worry about him so much b/c he falls all the time.  He seems to favor his right side, and has been a very cranky, fussy little guy since birth.
I can say,@ 2,he is very intelligent,so he seems  not only to be developing well, but actually quite ahead of schedule.  I say that only to say that he seems to be fine mentally.
He has had 2 cat scans in the last 7mos also.  I know you can't say for sure, but could this be something more than epilepsy?  I know I should wait for the neuro appt, but I'm going crazy worrying and wondering.
Thanks

Answer
I'm not a neurologist. I'm a medical oncologist & radiation therapist with experience of treating brain tumors. This is something you should discuss with his neurologist. BUT if his CT scans are complemented with an MRI brain scan and nothing dangerous is seen there your son does NOT have a brain tumor! Good luck!
