Brain Tumors/reading impairment from Glioblastoma IV

Question
My husband was diagnosed on 12/4/08, had the tumor removed 12/18/08 @ Sloan Kettering and has been told of a reoccurence.  He's currently undergoing treatments but, has difficulty reading.  He is an engineer and a extremely bright man so, he finds this very frustrating.  His Dr. has given him a prescription to evaluate for speech therapy and treat 2x a week but, I am having difficulty locating a therapist in our plan and have been told to try it on our own because out of network therapy is costly.  Any advice on what kinds of tools might be helpful would be greatly appreciated, most things I have found are related to children with speech difficulties.
Thank you, Kathy

Answer
I'm a medical oncologist and radiation therapist with experience of treating brain tumors but not a neurologist or an eye dr. or an ear-nose-and-throat surgeon. I strongly suggest that you direct your question to such a specialist since this is outside my area of expertise.
