Brain Tumors/Scarred Arachnoid Membrane

Question
While performing MVD surgery last week my neurosurgeon found severe
scarring of my arachnoid membrane with a major vein compressing a nerve.
When I asked Dr. how this occurs he did not know, said only that it's not
uncommon. I know that meningitis is often involved, but is there anything
else?

Thank you so much for your help. My facial pain remains and I'm trying to
learn all that I can.

Answer
Unfortunately this is a question for a neurologist or a neurosurgeon. It is also outside my area of expertise (brain tumors) here. I'm a medical oncologist & radiation therapist with experience of treating brain tumors. I therefore do suggest that you direct it to an expert of neurology here.
