Question
my father in law aged 75 suffering from parkinsons was diagonised with
stage IV lung cancer around 9 months ago.  He has had 9 chemo sessions
since. we are now told that the cancer has spread to nearly 70% of his brain.
his left side too does not seem to be functioning properly. he does not seem
to remember things at times. the doctors have advised us not to go ahead
with any more chemo sessions and to take things as they come. can u let me
know what is the survival timeframe.

Answer
Without therapy (radiation therapy, chemotherapy) at most a few months but it may be much shorter. He will become more and more confused and sleep more and more over time. When he sleeps all the time his end is near. Sorry a more precise prediction can not be given.
