Question
My nephew who is 18 got diagnosed with a infiltrated brain stem glioma of the pons and medulla, grade 1 or 2. What is his prognosis and life span expected

Answer
The location is not good. In that place it is probably inoperable. That means that only some form of radiation therapy probably is available in his case. Brain tumors grade 1 to 2 can usually live many years with treatment. But due to the location it is hard to give you such an estimate. Please do keep me posted!
