Question I been suffering from Headaches since I was 7 am 33yrs old, 4yrs ago I ended at the hospital because the Headaches were uncontrollable also it cause me drowsiness, vomiting and it was impossible for me to walk since everything was crossing images, after hours on the hospital and a CT and MRI scan the doctors found a Corpus Callosal Lipoma, I was confuse since that was nothing that my family had before, as today am been seem by at lease 6 different doctors and Neugersons and they believe that I just need to relax and keep taking my Vicodin, the location of the Lipoma is above the nerve system, one of my questions today is, if this mass that is locate above the nerve system and according to the doctors is difficult to just try to remove it, am tire of these symptoms plus to everything I don’t have a normal life, I have problems sleeping I can wake up 3-4-5 times at night and am not functional must of the day due to the medication or the pain, I been like this for the past 4yrs, I need to know if you know a way to dissolve this Lipoma with out any brain damage or if you know any doctor that will be able to operate around the area, please I really need help, I have a 11yr old that needs her Mom, I got marry five years ago and this is not what I plant for my life.

Answer I'm not a neurologist or a neurosurgeon. I'm a medical oncologist & radiation therapist with experience of treating brain tumors. I personally doubt that your lipoma has anything to do with your symptoms. Based on your description I think that what you have are severe migraine attacks. However that is outside my area of expertise here so again I have to urge you to direct this question to an expert of neurology. Besides brain lipomas and treatment of them is something I have no personal experience of. I'm not even aware of any brain lipoma that needed any treatment. I also think that if your drs believed that your lipoma is causing your problems and that its removal could help you they would definitely have suggested it to you and discussed it with you. Your question seems to indicate that that is not the case. If I'm mistaken on that point please correct me! I think that your lipoma was just seen on your CT & MRI brain scans and reported to you as something they had just happened to see without being of any real importance especially not with regards to your symptoms.
