Question
Hi, I just wanted to ask a second opinon before I do this but I went to the doctor and was asking questions about birth control because I have always been irregular, and then I told him that I never had my thyroid checked so they sent me to get my blood drawn and it came back ok, However they told me I needed to get an Mri for possible tumar/growth for my pitutary glands. And thats really high as in prices..but I have no idea what to do..The doctor hade been calling me alot before I made the appoitment then I made one and backed out because it was so high..Can you give me advice on what you think would be a good choice..should I do it?? Im 23 and would like some advice..Thanks so much!

Answer
That is a hard question. Your dr. obviously needs that done to evaluate your medical situation. You know your economical situation best so I can not tell you what you can afford. Only you know that. But from a medical point of view the MRI brain scan is necessary for what you have asked your dr. The choice is yours.
