Brain Tumors/recuring brain tumor

Question
I had a non-malignant recuring brain tumor removed from the right lobe of my brain in Jan. 2008.  It caused me much grief before that and nobody knew what was wrong with me.  6 mos. later I had a mri to determine if it was recuring or not.  I was given a clean bill of health.  My question is how important is it to keep checking this and how often.  I will recognize the symptons if it recurs again I hope.  The first time I truly thought I was losing my mind.  Thank you.

Answer
If it was troly beign (not malignant) then your ris should be small. Say once per year or so for some years and then perhaps no more. But to give you a better advice I need to know your exact diagnosis or even better read your pathology report from your surgery.
