Brain Tumors/Glioblastoma multiforme

Question
My mother was a healthy 35 year old woman with no previous health issues, but two weeks ago she became ill and she was diagnosed with a fast growing, stage 4 brain tumor one week later. The doctors said it is inoperable. She is going to be starting radiation in 4 days, for 7 weeks, and then she is going to be released from the hospital and going to be coming home, where she will be taking radiation pills.

My question to you is how long do you figure she is going to have when she is home and done of her radiation at the hospital?

Answer
I suppose that what she has is a glioblastoma multiforme GRADE 4 (this kind of brain tumor does not have stages). If so she probably has at most a survival time of around one year ahead of her. But it may be shorter since no surgery was possible.
I'm sorry I have nothing better to tell you!
