Brain Tumors/Meningoma

Question
Hi, I don't know if you will be able to provide me with an answer but I'll ask anyway.  July 2008 I was diagnosed with a calcified meningoma and last week I had a repeat MRI w &w/o contrast and the meningoma was not seen on the images. I've had a combined six MRIs & CT-Scans since last July for vertigo all of them had shown the meningoma.  My question is can this type of meningoma dissolve on its own?  I don't see my neurosurgeon for another 3 weeks and I sure would like to obtain some insight into this before hand.

Answer
I have never heard of anything like this before either! But meningiomas are not my strong point. Since they are usually the realm of neurosurgeons and I'm not a neurosurgeon. I'm a medical oncologist & radiation therapist with experience of treating (mainly malignant) brain tumors. So I strongly suggest that you direct your question to a neurosurgeon or maybe a neurologist.
