Question
Hi,
My mum has secondary breast cancer in the form of tumors in her brain. She was diagnosed about a month and a half ago and she has had radio therapy.
She is doing really well and has no symptoms of anything going on. Is this a good sign that the radio therapy has worked? She is due to have a scan in a month.

I'm really sorry to disappoint you but any treatment - including radiation therapy - can only in this situation temporarily decrease the symptoms and extend the survival time. Even so her remaining survival time can probably be measured in months. I'm sorry I have nothing better to tell you!
