Question
A very close friend has just been diagnosed with a grade 3 maybe  4 Oligodendroglioma on the right and has a hypathalamic tumor on the left. Surgery is not an option due to location. We believe chemo and radiation therapy has good results and realize each case is different, but based on this info, how long do you think he may survive.

Answer
Unfortunately based only on the information available it is impossible to answer. Grade is very important in evaluating brain tumors but here the grade of the oligodendroglioma seems uncertain. Also there seems to be not one but two tumors and there is no information with regards to the nature of the 2nd tumor. In order to be able to evaluate this situation I do need more information on these points.
