Question
There is a pain at the baso of my head that feels like there is a vicegrip there.  No medicine has been of any help and the other day at work I got very shakey and felt like I didn't know where I was.  I have had a CAT scan and a lumbar punture both of which have come back normal.  This has been going on for about 6 months and my vision has now started to go blurry off and on.  I have no health insurance so I end up going to the er most of the time.  Should I continue trying to get help for this?

Answer
If the CT scan was normal it is most probably not caused by a brain tumor. So this is outside my area of expertise here. I'm here ONLY as a tumor specialist/cancer specialist. Discuss this with an expert of neurology! Good luck!
