hit head a month ago when she fell off horse been tired and depressed and headaches, than 5 days ago hit top front of head hard been sick and can't get out of bed longer than 30 min at a time also headache constantly and disoriented and left side of face going numb like lip and nose went, to hospital 3 days ago and had a cat scan done and they found a mass in back of head inbetween brain and skull she did not tell them about falling off the horse and landing on the back of head. they made a appointment with her doctor monday for him to schedule her a appointment with a neurologist and get a mri done. she has gotten worse since visit to hospital she's dizzy and has to hold on to things just to turn around and did not even remember talking to me last night today is sunday and her doctor appt. is tomorrow but i don't think she should wait i told her to go into another hospital and get a second opinion today this is my sister and she is 44 years old and i live out of state but her children and i want her to go immediately and she is so scared of getting a mri done she won't go. she said she wishes she could just ask someone that knows something about this if she should go in immediately or wait and go to her family doctor tomorrow. I'm afraid she's going to have a stroke or a seizure or worse. she is also cold all the time. what do i do or tell her?

Answer
Why on earth did she not tell them about the fall from the horse?! Because that changes the whole situation! This may very well be a subdural hematoma (a bleeding under the hard brain lining) as a result of her fall. If so she needs surgery urgently! If so it is not a brain tumor and she can be fully cured BUT surgery should be done SOON! AND she HAS TO go to that appointment for the MRI etc.! And she MUST tell about her fall! Good luck!
