Brain Tumors/Posterior fossa meningioma

Question
I was recently diagnosed with a left posterior fossa meningioma of the size 3.5 cm. I have no symptoms. I am very terrified of the complications ofsurgery. Is there a radiosurgery option out there forme? Trilogy sounds promising. Also how do i find a specialist forthe posterior fossa region? Any help would be much appreciated.

Answer
With that locality surgery may be tricky anyway. Your lesion's size is rather big, close to the upper limit of what is possible to treat with stereotactic radiation treatment/"surgery" with the "GammaKnife" or the "CyberKnife" or with proton beams.  The upper limit is around 4 cm. So you must discuss with a center that provides this service if it is possible to use it in your case. Where you can find such a facility where you live - wherever that may be - I do not know but your doctor should be able to find that out. Good luck!
