Brain Tumors/brain tumor question

Question
I am wondering about some things we are seeing in my dad after a craniotomy and him starting his radiation. It is verified that he had a stage 4 tumor on his left brain affecting his speech and communication. (I do not remember the exact name of it, so I am giving a description) After his surgery he was able to regain quite a bit of his speech and communication skills, but now 3 weeks later he is very frustrated and having problems speaking and communicating in just a few hours time. Mom has a call into the doctor and I am searching the web for possible reasons. What I am trying to find out is if this is to be expected so soon after the surgery that they think they were able to get all of the tumor.
Thank you very much for any insight you may be able to give with my limited information.

Answer
Do you mean a stage 4 tumor or a GRADE 4 tumor? There are several possible reasons. Tumor growth and brain swelling due to his radiation therapy are probably among the the more probable and the latter the most probable. But to determine this better I need much more clinical information with regards to his tumor.
