Question
My husband was dx in Dec 07 grade 3 anaplastic astrocytoma.  Tumor located right frontal lobe, mostly 99% removed (fingers toward motor skill portion of the brain were left behind).  He did radiation and is now doing monthly temodar and has completed cycle 25.  His plan is to discontinue temodar in the near future.  What effect will this have on the outcome?

Answer
In the long run none unfortunately. With this diagnosis his prognosis remains bad unfortunately. It is that in fact regardless of any and every known treatment. All what his treatment can do is temporarily relieve his symptoms and to some extent prolong his survival time. That is unfortunately all.
