Question
What can you tell me about a 3 cm tumor in the thalumus?  It's in an 18 year old man.  Survival Rate? Seriousness? Operation?  Any information helps.  Thanks.

Answer
It depends very much on what kind of tumor it is and its GRADE. Of those things I know at present nothing since there was no information about it in your question. Probably his MRI scan report would be of help here. If it is available I would like to read it. If so you can copy it here. With this location it may be inoperable. However radiological treatment (with the so called "GammaKnife" or with proton beams) may - his tumor may still be small enough - still be possible. That is as much as I can say at present.
