Brain Tumors/case of anaplastic astrocytoma

Question
My husband, now 58, was diagnosed, after a global seizure, with non-operable anaplastic astrocytoma located in the left frontal lobe in April 2006; and, immediately, treated with radiotherapy (35 sessions) and chemotherapy (Temodal). Have had three seizures (one global in 2007, one very mild in Sept 09 and the last one, partial three days ago March 16, 2010). Only the last one left him with right hemiparesis. Hi was taken a tomography and, according to his neurologist, there has not been any change in his brain. He doesn't show any improvement in his right side mobility, in spite of what the neurologist said: he would recover in 72 hours. Although probably you'd require more insights, according to your general experience, why did he develop hemiparesis in this opportunity? Thanks in advance for your attention.

Answer
Well, I can only give you an educated guess based on this limited information. There hay have been a hemorrage or a stroke process in or close to his tumor area. Was he checked with a CT or an MRI scan? The latter would probably provide more information. What was the GRADE of his tumor?
