Question
My sister just found out in January this year that her whole body is covered in tumors and leasions and they just keep coming back. she had 2 in her brain and than when she went back to visit she had 3 more in brain all melanoma she is only 28 years old and has it through her whole body, and has done radiation a couple times to the brain and a week of radiation to her one her side and butt, do you know how much longer she has she is in stage 4 of melanoma and just keeps getting worse. She can't keep liquids down or eat barely and she always sleeps and in pain

Answer
Malignant melanomas are usually not very sensitive to radiation therapy or chemotherapy. In this situation where it has spread to her brain her remaining survival time can at most be measured in months and may be quite shorter. I'm sorry I have nothing better to tell you!
