Question Hi. I have someone very close to me and he went to the dr and had x rays done cause he has been having really bad headaches for a month now. The x ray showed a growth on the back of the skull and blood work showed small strokes. Like i mentioned he is very close to me and i don't want to upset him by questioning him a lot about it if you could please give me some advise on what to expect I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you very much
Answer Dear Brenda, I'm here ONLY as a tumor/cancer doctor. So strokes are definitely outside my area of expertise here (even though I have had one myself). For the rest of the question it is too vague for me to be able to give you a good answer. I do need more information. I'm an M.D. not some kind of fortune teller. And I have no chrystal ball to look into. What kind of X-ray examinations were done? CT brain scans? With or without contrast or both? MRI brain scans? With or without contrast or both? Both CT & MRI scans? Contrast questions as before. PET brain scans? Normally I would ask to have the full scan reports copied here so that I can read them to get as much information as possible. When you are evaluating a case you can never have too much information! I understand that it is difficult for you to provide the information I need. But if you want a reasonably accurate answer you must try to get as much as possible for me! Good luck! You can copy it here!
