Question
what to do if your parent doesn't want to get out of bed, won't eat...just wants to stay in bed all day and drink water, juice, ensure.  Cancer was determined the end of 2009.

Answer
Well, I'm sure you have been told what a bad prognosis this condition has. It is actually quite normal to reach this stage during this sad process and there is not much you can do about it. Just provide the fluids that have been asked for. There is no cure for this condition and it is eventually (at most measured in months) lethal. And it will also in the meantime severely cripple the patient and nothing can be done about it (yes radiation therapy may be given but at best that will only prolong the process and give temporary relief). I'm sorry I have nothing better to tell you!
