Question
I am a 38 year old single mother of 5 children.Usually patient easy going
look on brightside kinda attitude.

A few years ago I had an  MRI done due to domestic violence situation.I
was told they saw a very tiny dot on my brain.no worries,no followup.no
big deal.

About 2 years ago I noticed deep tissue twitching around bottom corner
of mouth.again no worries im told.

About a year ago I started complaining to my dr I just feel crappy and
even though I excercised 2-3x a day 5 days a week and ate right i not
only couldnt lose weight i would gain weight.

About 2 months ago my periods just stopped and i became extremely
nauseas mostly in morning early afternoon, bad balance and my body
temp was elevated.extremely emotional and easily irritated.(no,not
pregnant)

3 wks ago I could no longer hide my memory loss i was experiencing.

2 weeks ago i blacked out twice.

been extremely dizzy, fatigued and suffered vertigo more times then i
can count for 8 months.

Dr ordered CT scan.

Result & Diagnosis:5x10mm midline lipoma just anterior to the splenium
of the corpus callosum(sp?).

go for mri this friday and neurologist sept 2nd.

Questions:#1are all these symptoms related to this? #2 what treatment
can I expect?#3 what time frame/timeline  (how quick) can I expect to
experience until this is treated and I am finally better?#4 anything or
advise you can add would be appreciated.

Thank you

Answer
It is too early to tell. CT scans are good for finding acute hemorrages in the brain and for finding if there is any lesion there at all. But for more information MRI scans are MUCH better. So we will have to wait until your MRI scan result is available. Then I'll be able to evaluate your situation much better if you provide me with the result. Based only on the size of your lesion I can say that even if it is recommended that it should be removed - which is far from certain - surgery is not necessary. Such a small lesion can easily be deleted radiologically using the so called "GammaKnife". Good luck! Please, do keep me posted!
