Question
Good afternoon
Last October my brother was diagnosed with 2 grade 3 brain tumours. He had 1 removed but the other was inoperable. He had radiotherapy which did not help. About 2.5 months ago the doctor advised the tumour had progressed to a stage 4. He has been having chemo for 1 month now but I notice lately he doesnt look as well. He suffers from headaches almost every day which they use medication to assist him. Does anyone ever recover from this. I worry lately that he is not so good. How long do you think he may have? I dont know what to do with my job if he doesnt have long I am thinking I should leave my job to spend as much time with him as possible.

Answer
I'm sorry to read about his - and your - problems! Unfortunately at present no one recovers from this situation and it is also at present always lethal. His survival time can most probably at most be measured in months. It may be shorter though. He will over time be more and more confused and sleep more and more. When he sleeps all the time his end will be near. When he sleeps all the time no more meaningful contact with him will be possible. I can not give you advice with regards to your job situation since it is not possible to determine his exact survival time, I do not know your economical situation or how easy or possible it would be for you to regain a similar job. So that decision must be yours alone.
