Brain Tumors/malignant brain tumour cancer grade 4

Question
my father was diagnosed with a brain tumour in June 2010 he was told he had 6-12 months maximum he has just had his second scan 10/01/2011 and the tumour has not increased in size at all. He has been doing a lot of alternative options these have involved a purely organic diet nothing other than organic even down to organic stock cubes, no alcohol at all this gets your body into an alkali rather than acidic which feeds the cancer. He has also had chemo and radiotherapy but so have other people with his type of cancer and that has made no difference. He also eats cottage cheese and flaxy oil every morning as this protects the brain. I hope this could help someone else I know it is early days but we have been told by the doctors he should be dead now.

Answer
Well, you put me in the uncomfortable role of being the bearer of bad tidings. Even the worst type of malignant brain tumors the so called glioblastoma multiforme grade 4 has an expected survival time of 12 to fifteen months from primary treatment. However I count no more than a maximum of 7 to 8 months can have passed since his primary treatment. It is therefore MUCH too early to draw ANY conclusions whatsoever of the - not uncommon - facts you describe. Besides more modern treatment with more precise surgery, better radiation therapy and better chemotherapy seems to have increased survival time somewhat. From personal experience I have NO FAITH WHATSOEVER - unfortunately, I would have loved such simple and easy methods if they worked - in the alternative treatment methods you mention. I'm sorry I have nothing better to tell you!
