Question
QUESTION: Hi,
My husband and I recently just moved in to our new place.  A week later he start to get dizzy. Its not severe, it only happens when he makes sudden movements. He went to the doctor when it first began and he said it may be allergies, since now we are surrounded by woods and it would go away by itself soon.  My husband said its not as severe anymore but he still gets dizzy.  He loss his hearing from one of his ears when he was 3 yrs old, he had a couple of surgeries before to try to get his hearing back, it didn't work. I am not sure if this could be causing this?  The last surgery was 2 years ago. This is the first time experiencing dizziness.  I don't know if this is a sign of cancer or a tumor

ANSWER: It may very well be related to his ear problems. But he should let a neurologist or an ear-nose-and-throat specialist check this!

QUESTION: Hello,
I have a small question.  My daughter is 16 months old, last night when i put her to bed it was pretty hot, so I did not cover her up.  I didn't realized it was going to be a little cold, and this morning she woke up with her cheeks and forehead red.  And has a fever of 101.  Do you think she has a fever because she wasn't covered up?  Also the rest of her bottom teeth are starting to come out, I am not sure if that could cause a fever?

Answer
Dear Julie, I'm here ONLY as a cancer doctor, nothing more and nothing less. So your question is quite outside my area of expertise here. Besides I have not had much to do with children patients since I studied pediatrics which was close to 42 years ago - and it was never one of my favourite subjects on top of it, in fact I have more or less avoided children patients ever since and I have no children of my own - at least none that I know of. So my experience here is severely limited. However for what it is worth I doubt very much that her cover had much to do with it. If she has picked up an infection her cover had probably very little to do with it. The same probably goes for her teeth. But for you to be sure ask an expert of pediatrics here! Good luck!
