Question
Dear Sir,

I'm from P.R.China. One of my friends, male, 27 years old. It's terrible that he got a disease called Malignant Melanoma in Brain. About in Jul.2011, he found that he couldn't move his leg sometimes. And this phenomenan happed more and more often in the following days. Then he came to beijing for medical check and was told to be Malignant melanoma in brain. His right leg and arm couldn't move freely, and later he have to eat by feeding tube. Increased ICP caused other disease features. Now he hasn't received any treatments. The beijing doctors just suggeste him go back to hometown for physical enery recovery.
Dear Sir,I checked someducuments and find that the Malignant melanoma is just a skin cancer. Dose it also happen to brain?
Based on the following information, do you have any better suggestions for him. Thanks so much !

Looking forward to hearing from you soon!

regards
Lydia

Answer
It is usually a skin malignancy but can also start elsewhere for example in the eyes. It can also spread to the brain from elsewhere for example the skin. Its prognosis is VERY bad unfortunately regardless of any treatment. So his survival time can at most be measured in months but is probably much shorter. I'm sorry I have nothing better to tell you!
