Question

Brain tumor?
I recently had a skull/orbit x-ray in preparation for an MRI on my shoulder/sternoclavicular joint from an accident in November. I had asked for a copy of the x-ray to use as my background for my iPhone. I noticed a couple of things; a wisdom tooth which I did not know was there, and a round bubble like shadow on the top of my head beneath the skull. I was a little worried about the latter and I cannot ask my family doctor because she is on vacation for the next two weeks. I have been trying to ignore it but I keep thinking about it. I will attach a low-res copy to this post and If you require I can send you the high-res image as well.

Answer
I'm NOT a diagnostic radiologist so you must ask such an expert what exactly this is. But I can tell you what it is NOT! It is NOT a brain tumor since those do NOT show up on ordinary x-ray pictures of this kind! What you see is something that has to do with the bone structure there in your skull. Good luck!
