Brain Tumors/anaplastic meningioma Grade 3-update

Question
Hello Dr.
Just wanted to give you an update. My friend's wife underwent her first MRI after her RT treatment and there was no growth. Every one is pretty happy and excited at our end. Although this is just the first MRI of many more to follow. Her Oncologist cleared her completely and told her she can go back to work, drive and continue with her life within two weeks. The steroids medication that she was taking while her RT treatment, debilitated her bone muscle and she is very weak, she is having problem walking and being on her feet for a long period of time. Also because of the weight gain. She is still undergoing pain on her joints and is not able to walk as much either, complaining of the pain and back pain as well. The doctor told her that now she has to fight from within in order to continue with a normal life and that until we get bad news that she shouldn't have to worry anymore. Do you really think she will be able to go back to her normal life? Work, driving, taking care of her son, ect?

The doctor is pretty optimistic. Dr. Do you think that she will be able to continue with her normal life eventually? Do you think that this cancer is cured? Although I know the answer to that question is no. Just looking for your thoughts. I know that now is what the Oncologist calls the cancer in remission, but how long do you think that can last? How long to you think it will be for the anaplastic meningioma to recur? A couple of months, years? The prognosis is so poor even with RT, but we are so happy and confident that every thing will be ok, however, we don't want to get our hopes up and want to continue to be as realistic as possible (for the future and financial reasons). We search the Internet looking for new information but it's all pretty much the same, not good news at all. We want to leave it in the hands of God now.
What are you honest thoughts???

Thank you Doctor

Answer
Well it remains to be seen and the final outcome is anybody's guess. But what she has been told is possible but certainly not sure. We just have to wait and see. I do not know either. So we are in the same position. Please do keep me posted!
