Brain Tumors/low grade thalamic glioma

Question
hi, i have a friend who was recently diagnosed with low grade thalamic glioma.  she is only 29 years old and never even presented any symptoms of the disease like headache accompanied by vomiting.  1 1/2 months ago, she was rushed to the hospital and was diagnosed with mild stroke that affected the left side of her body.  at that time, her left side became weak. MRI did not show anything.  3 weeks ago, her legs became almost paralyzed. cerebral angiogram showed that she now has low grade thalamic glioma.  The right side of her body is weak but her left leg is already in decerebrate position and her left arms in decorticate...  I understand that most cases of thalamic glioma are diagnosed during childhood.  what are the other symptoms that we could have missed? is there a cure for it in adults?

Answer
This seems to be a rather atypical case so I do not understand how you in any way could have noticed anything earlier! The location makes such a tumor extremely difficult to treat but in order to evaluate it better I need to know how big it is?
