Brain Tumors/melanoma frontal lobe brain tumor

Question
My husband was diagnosed with a melanoma frontal lobe brain tumor at Travis AFB in California. He was given dexamethasone and 5 strong radiation treatments.  They helped so he was able to talk and eat with a fork.  He was given 6 months and sent home on hospice on June 1, 2011.  In January 2011 he had cyberknife surgery that removed two melanoma lung tumors in Wichita KS.  Apparently the brain tumor was too small to show on the Xray.  Would cyberknife surgery remove the present brain tumor and allow him to drive again?

Answer
Depends on the size of his brain lesion. If it is not too big (up to around one inch or 2.5 cm) it MAY work with the CyberKnife or the GammaKnife or with proton beams. But I can not promise that he will be able to drive again and it will probably not change his sad prognosis. I'm sorry I have nothing better to tell you!
