Brain Tumors/MRI of the Brain

Dear Sir:

What does the following mean on an MRI scan of the brain:

Partial empty sella without optic nerve sheath dilatation, globe flattening or ventricular compression.

Parenchymal yperintensities with distribution including centrum semiovale, bilateral optic radiaitons. Differential may include migraine, microangiopathic gliosis as well as vasculitis. Septocallosal region is relatively spared.

Partial empty sella without other supportive findings of pseudotumor cerebri. Eye examination to exclude papilledema is recommended in the setting of headaches.

I thank you for your response.

There are no signs of any pituitary tumor but an eye check up is recommended in order to exclude increased pressure inside the brain. There are increased densities in the brain. These may be associated with migraine and some other mentioned neurological illnesses - but not with tumors. So those conditions you should discuss with a neurologist as they are outside my speciality field here.
