Brain Tumors/Headaches and Dizziness in 8 year old

About three weeks ago, my daughter started complaining of these strange headaches. They were very brief in duration (less than a minute) and occurred a couple of times a week. Now she says she gets them two or three times a day, though they have not gotten worse or longer, just more frequent.

I took her to the pediatrician today, who checked her ears (clear) and eyes and said not to worry unless she developed other symptoms such as vertigo, slurred speech, weakness, unexplained nausea etc. So I stopped worrying, until she came to me this evening and said she'd forgotten to mention that sometimes she wakes up in the morning and feels like there's a rock in her head and the world is spinning. She has never mentioned this to me before but she says this has been happening infrequently (once every couple of weeks) for longer than the headaches.

So now should I be concerned? Is it time to take her to a neurologist?

Thanks for your time.

Yes to be on the safe side I do think it is best to take her to a (pediatric) neurologist. Good luck!
