Question
My mother has astrocyotma grade 2 and has finished 32 rounds of radiation therapy. The tumor is inoperable. Its almost 2 months now after radiation. Past two days she has been complaining about something "weird" happening to her, when we ask what is happening she just cannot explain what is happening to her. She doesnt have any headaches, she walks properly, eats well(sometimes less though). But lately she has become a lot irritable, gets angry, forgets things(names, places, dates). But I am worried about the "wierd" feeling that she is trying to explain to us...is this normal?is she under depression?...her MRI is scheduled in Dec....Will she regain her memory back and after how many months?..Will she ever become my NORMAL mom again?
Please reply sooon

Answer
I'm sorry, there are so many uncertainties involved here that I can not tell you from afar what is happening. BUT I think a new MRI scan should be done as soon as possible and also a new appointment with her neurologist should be made ASAP. Since this is so uncertain I can unfortunately not promise you anything.
