Brain Tumors/Brain Mass

Question
I have not been able to smell for about 6+ months and have also been getting alot of headaches..I had a CT scan which showed I had a mass in my brain..The Neuro Surgeon is to look at this and tell me the next step..What does this all mean and will I have to have surgery to get it out?

Answer
Surgery is definitely quite possible. But before your full treatment can be decided it has to be determined what kind of tumor you have there. An MRI scan of your brain should have been done immediately after your CT scan in order to help with that so that ALL information possible can be presented to your neurosurgeon. However a biopsy may be needed to determine what kind of tumor it is. First when that is done can treatment decisions be made!
