I am 27, white female... and very scared. tomorrow i will be going to the doctor because i am having a lot of troubles. i am scared it may be a brain tumor. My symtoms are as follows:
dizziness, sometimes to the point of walking crooked and feeling like i am going to back out. also if i turn my head too quickly or look down or up just in normal day living, i will sort of have this lil 'burst' where my head seems to sort of sizzle. thats the only way i can describe it.
sometimes i feel like i am totally buzzing, like being drunk, without having anything to drink. my speach also gets slurred and i cant seem to think strait.
also my sight, it is blurred a lot lately. my eyes also feel heavy and tired all the time. and normal sounds, just someone talking to me, or like the kids playing, which never bothered me before, seem very very loud.
well tell me what you think, and thank you.
Answer There are a lot of things it could be. It is possible that it is a brain tumor, but there are many types of brain tumors. Some are very bad, some aren't too bad.
It is also possible it is something simple to fix like an inner ear infection, or something called vertigo which although hard to fix, itsn't really serious.
The only way to find out is with an MRI. If the doctor wants to do a cat scan first, ask why he doesn't want to do an MRI. An MRI is much more expensive, but much more reliable.
Good luck and tell me what the doctor says. IF it is a brain tumor, there are a lot of things you have to know immediately. Let me know and I can help.
