Question
My 4 year old nephew was diagnosed with high risk medulooblastoma 10weeks ago.  He has had surgery and radiation already.  They want to start chemo in 10 days.  he doesn't seem strong enough yet.  He has had several complications/setbacks.  Can they start chemo if he is not medically stable?  My other question is was he born with this tumor or how did he get cancer?

Answer
That depends on how much unstable and in what way. Please clarify! Why do you think he can not take it? From what you have written it seems that his drs. think it is possible. Right? He was probably not born with it but I can not state anything on that with complete certainty. No body knows! No one knows how or why he got it either! Its causes are unknowwn. No indications of anything hereditary though.
