Question
My dad is 55 and has been diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour. He had bowel cancer 2 years ago and we have been told that this is a secondary. Are you able to tell me what grade of cancer this is likely to be from this? We have been told approx. 6 months left?

Also he has various symptoms of headaches, nausea, dizziness and his balance is awful. The side of his face has now gone numb and he is unable to feel one side of his mouth causing difficulties with speech. Please can you tell me what symptoms he is likely to experience as we get closer to the end?

Answer
He is an obvious stage 4 cancer since it has spread to another organ. In order to define grade I would need a very detailed description of his cancer's microscopical picture or better be able to view it myself. He may get epileptic fits and/or more stroke like symptoms. He will sleep more and more and become more confused. Eventually drift into a coma and then pass away. Very little pain if any.
