Fortaleza is a big city (over 3 million people) where you can find from street vendors offering local handcrafted products and food to huge shopping malls selling all major international brands.

The most interesting places, with best deals and variety all the street markets (see links below). The stores at the airport usually have more expensive and but nicer and better quality products.
