hello I was wondering what the punishment is when somebody breaks the law or does something wrong/inappropriate?

Hello Ibi,

There are criminal and civil punishments in the Brazilian law. The civil punishment usually means monetary compensation and the criminal one means jail time. There is no “official” death penalty or physical punishments (like beating) in Brazil.
