Brazil/Language School in Rio

Question
Hello,
I have already spent 4 and a half months in Brazil this year and have totally fallen in love with the country. I wish to return and study Portuguese, living in Rio. Due to the fact that I have already stayed in Brazil for such a long time, I will need to return on a student visa. I am therefore looking for a Portuguese language school. I cannot learn with an individual teacher on a private basis as this will not enable me for a student visa. Please could you recommend a Portuguese language school.
Many thanks,
Aarti

Answer
I dont know any Portuguese language schools off the top of my head. Sorry.  Why dont you try this school here for leads:

Tell them you want to study Portuguese as a foreigner for six months, and ask them where you can go.

Another source is the Brazilian Embassy. Look on their website for information, or call the Embassy or nearest consulate to you and they can tell you which schools offer this type of class in Rio de Janeiro.
